Shamrock Rovers striker Aidomo Emakhu has joined English Championship club Millwall for an undisclosed fee.
The 19-year-old spent two seasons at Tallaght Stadium, progressing from the Under-19 side to the senior set-up.
He scored an important last-minute winner for the Hoops against KF Teuta in the UEFA Europa Conference League in August, as well as goals against Shkupi and Ludogorets.
Emakhu also broke into the Republic of Ireland Under-19 side and regularly featured off the bench for the Hoops in the league over 34 league appearances, which included three starts.
He will become a Millwall player on 1 January on a long-term deal.
The teenager will train with his new team-mates this week. It remains to be seen if he will become a regular in the first-team squad or utilised in their Under-23s initially.
Stephen Bradley has bolstered his attack with the signing of Liam Burt from rivals Bohemians in the off-season with further signings expected.
Meanwhile Dundalk have missed out on bringing winger Steven Bradley back to Oriel Park for the 2023 campaign.

The 20-year-old spent this season on loan with the Lilywhites and impressed, but was out of favour at Easter Road on his return.
He has today completed a move to fellow Scottish Premiership side Livingston. They currently sit fourth in the table.
Dundalk boss Stephen O'Donnell has retained a number of current squad as they return to Europe next year.
However he has yet to add any new faces to their ranks.
