Wesley Fofana has completed his £70m (€81m) move to Chelsea from Leicester.

The defender has penned a seven-year contract at Stamford Bridge to end the transfer saga which Foxes boss Brendan Rodgers admitted had helped derail his side's Premier League season.

Fofana had pushed to join Thomas Tuchel's side and failed to turn up for training with the Foxes earlier this month.

Fofana told Chelsea's official website: "The two last days have been really big days for me and I'm very happy.

"I trained this morning with the team and it's a dream for me. I'm very excited to start playing games for the fans and the club.

"I'm here win trophies - the Champions League, Premier League, FA Cup, Carabao Cup, everything. I came here to win and the club is built to win trophies so I'm here to continue that."

Wolves have signed Austria international Sasa Kalajdzic from Stuttgart on a five-year deal.

The 6'7" striker joins, subject to visa and work permit, for around £15m (€17.4m) with an option to extend his contract for a further 12 months.

The 25-year-old, who is not available for Wednesday's Premier League trip to Bournemouth, arrives at Molineux after three years in Germany, where he scored 24 goals in 60 games for Stuttgart.

He said: "I'm two metres tall, but also not bad with my feet. I'm just hungry to score goals. I want to play good football and score many goals.

"I want to play attractive football. I'm a team player, I want to help the team, that's the most important thing in the end. When the team is looking good, I'm looking good as well. This is my aim for the upcoming matches.

"Everyone tells me the Premier League is the toughest league, it's the NBA of football. I'm just excited to prove myself against the best because in this league the best players are playing.

"I want to develop as a player, as a person, and want to get as soon as possible to score, to show myself, and I'm really happy about it and looking forward to it."

Newly-appointed Sunderland boss Tony Mowbray has completed the loan signing of French midfielder Edouard Michut from Paris St Germain.

The 19-year-old France Under-19 international featured eight times for the Ligue 1 champions since making his debut in February 2021.

Michut will now play his football in the Championship after becoming Sunderland's eighth signing this summer - and Mowbray's first - and the club have an option to make the transfer permanent.

Michut will first be available for selection in Monday's league match at rivals Middlesbrough.
