Republic of Ireland defender Diane Caldwell has joined Women's Super League side Reading.
The Dubliner's Manchester United contract expired at the end of the campaign but she's been snapped up by the Royals, who have another Irishwoman - goalkeeper Grace Moloney - on the books.
"It is really great to be here and excited to finally in training with the with the team," said the 33-year-old.
"I'm excited to really get down to work and get to know everyone better. [Manager] Kelly [Chambers] had a massive impact on me choosing to come here, I had many great conversations with her before arriving, including what she is looking for me to bring and her objectives for the upcoming season.
"The enthusiasm and faith that she's shown in me, has meant a lot, when you have a coach who expresses their desire to bring you to a club it instantly makes you feel attached and ready to fight for the shirt.
"Having been here a couple of days now, I've been really impressed with everyone's attitudes in training the work ethic has been excellent, and I cannot wait for the season to begin."
Republic of Ireland under-21 international Andrew Moran has signed a new three-year contract with Premier League side Brighton and Hove Albion.
The former Bray Wanderers midfielder joined Brighton in 2021 and impressed for their youth squad, earning his first professional contract with the club.
The 18-year-old's development has continued apace with the Seagulls and after making his senior debut in the EFL Cup last season, he has been further rewarded with a new contract that will keep him at the Falmer Stadium until 2025.
"I am delighted to commit my future here," Moran told the club's official website.
"I've had two really good years so far and have had the opportunity to progress quickly, which I am really grateful for and proud of.
"I've had some unbelievable moments here, winning the Premier League Under-17s Cup and making my first team debut, so I want to make more memories like those in a Brighton shirt."
Manchester City have agreed an initial £11m fee with Anderlecht for Spain Under-21 left-back Sergio Gomez.
The 21-year-old former Barcelona Academy player will now discuss terms with the Premier League champions with a view to a potential move.
City have been short of options at left-back after the departure of Oleksandr Zinchenko over the summer left Joao Cancelo as the only senior specialist in the position.
There had been interest in Brighton's Marc Cucurella but the club began to explore other avenues after the Seagulls refused to lower their £50m asking price. He later joined Chelsea in a deal that could rise to a reported £62m.
It is understood, however, that City will continue to pursue other options even if they conclude a deal for Gomez. The Anderlecht youngster was initially targeted as a development player and this remains the case.
He will be assessed in training and will have the opportunity to earn a place in the first-team squad but he could be sent out on loan to gain experience. Sister club Girona have been reported as a potential destination.
Gomez joined Borussia Dortmund after leaving Barcelona in 2018 and had a loan spell at Huesca before moving to Anderlecht, where he was managed by former City captain Vincent Kompany, last year.
Liverpool forward Harvey Elliott's first-team progress has been rewarded with a new contract.
The 19-year-old only signed an improved deal last summer but has been given a new one, understood to be for five years, to reflect his growing contribution to the team.
Elliott started three of Liverpool's first four matches of last season only to sustain a fracture-dislocation of his ankle at Leeds which sidelined him for five months.
However, despite that absence, the club wanted to recognise his development in keeping with their policy of rewarding players for individual progress and team contribution.
Elliott has made two substitute appearances this season but, with a number of injuries affecting midfield, with Thiago Alcantara likely to be out for the next four weeks, he could find himself starting at home to Crystal Palace on Monday.
Chelsea defender Millie Bright has toasted the future after signing a new three-year contract with the club.
The 28-year-old is Chelsea's longest-serving player having joined in 2014 from Doncaster Belles and has helped them win six Women's Super League titles, four FA Cups, two Continental Cups and one Community Shield.
Bright also has 58 senior caps for England and enjoyed a successful summer with the team, winning the European Championship after beating Germany 2-1 in the final at Wembley.
She told the club website: "Chelsea, the fans, the club, the people. Thank you for all your support so far.
"You're my home and I can't wait to continue fighting for more trophies. Cheers to the future!"
West Ham midfielder Nikola Vlasic has joined Torino on a season-long loan.
The deal for the 24-year-old includes an option for the Serie A outfit to make the move permanent next summer.
Croatia international Vlasic made 31 appearances for the Hammers in their 2021-22 campaign after joining the Premier League club from CSKA Moscow last summer.
He scored one goal, in a 4-1 win at Watford in December.
