Sligo Rovers have confirmed that they have been granted permission by UEFA to stage their upcoming Europa Conference League fixture against Viking of Norway at the Showgrounds.
St Patrick's Athletic, however, have been forced to move their Conference League third-round qualifier home leg against CSKA Sofia to Tallaght Stadium.
The move is in order to facilitate UEFA's requirement that games in this round are played at Category 3 stadia, with a minimum capacity requirement for seating of 4,500.
Richmond Park, the club's home ground in Inchicore, has a seating capacity of just under 3,000.
Pat's made it through last night on penalties, after a 1-1 aggregate draw with Mura of Slovenia, while Sligo defied the odds to knock out Scottish Premier League side Motherwell.
A statement on Sligo's club website explained the situation, while confirming that there will be no additional seats. The capacity will remain the same as it was for the Motherwell match.
"The club have worked tirelessly since the final whistle last night to secure the game here in front of our home supporters and it has now been confirmed by UEFA," said the club.
"There was a possibility of having to stage the game at Tallaght Stadium in Dublin but this now means European football will once again be back here in Sligo.
"We wish to thank UEFA for their help and especially our association, the FAI.
"There are a number of extra measures needed to help bring the ground up to speed but there will be no temporary stand and capacity will remain around the same as our game with Motherwell on Thursday night."
The Bit O'Red impressed as they comprehensively saw off Motherwell 3-0 on aggregate, winning 2-0 at home last night.
Both home legs involving League of Ireland clubs will take place on 11 August.
