Shelbourne paired with Peamount in FAI Cup draw

Shelbourne and Peamount United will meet in the standout tie of the EVOKE.ie FAI Women's Cup quarter-finals.

The draw was made on Tuesday afternoon at FAI headquarters in Dublin.

Recently-appointed FAI Football Consultant John Morling was part of the draw after taking up his new role.

Shelbourne pipped Peamount to the SSE Airtricity Women's National League title on the final day of last season and there is a long-standing rivalry between the two Dublin clubs.

The teams also meet this weekend in the league.

Elsewhere, Athlone Town will host Cork City, Bohemians take on Sligo Rovers, while current Cup holders Wexford Youths come up against DLR Waves.

The ties will be played on the week ending 7 August.

The final will take place on Sunday 6 November in Tallaght Stadium.
