Sebastian Haller scored at both ends as Ajax drew with Benfica in the Champions League last-16 first leg.

Former West Ham striker Haller put through his own net and then scored at the right end within three first-half minutes as the Dutch side left Lisbon with a draw.

They started well and went ahead in the 18th minute. After winning the ball back up high, Noussair Mazraoui's cross found Dusan Tadic, who delivered a sweet finish into the far corner.

Then Haller came to the fore, putting through his own net eight minutes later as he diverted Jan Vertonghen's low cross into his own net.

He put it right just three minutes later, though, converting from close range after his initial shot was blocked.

But Roman Yaremchuk rescued a draw for the Portuguese side when he pounced to head home after Remko Pasveer could only palm Matias Goncalo Ramos's fierce shot from distance
