Leicester leapfrogged Birmingham City to move off the bottom of the Women's Super League table after a 1-0 win against Brighton & Hove Albion.
The victory is the second of the camapign for Lydia Bedford's side. Meanwhile, Brighton who brought on Republic of Ireland midfielder Megan Connolly as a substitute midway through the second half, suffered their fourth consecutive league loss this season.
The Foxes took the lead in the 54th minute when Jess Sigsworth got on the end of a long ball down the right and found Shannon O'Brien, who calmly finished inside the box to score her first league goal.
Ashleigh Plumptre and Sigsworth both had chances to get a second for Leicester, but O'Brien's second-half strike was enough to seal the three points.
Leicester are now on six points, two above Birmingham, who are captained by Ireland defender Louise Quinn and whose squad also includes her international team-mates Marie Hourihan, Harriet Scott, Jamie Finn, Lucy Quinn, Eleanor Ryan-Doyle and Emily Whelan.
Kate Longhurst scored deep into stoppage time to snatch a point for West Ham United as they drew 1-1 with Tottenham on Sunday despite playing much of the second half with 10 players.
After a gritty but goalless first half, Hammers defender Hawa Cissoko clattered into Jiali Tang to concede a penalty early in the second, and Rosella Ayane confidently dispatched the spot kick into the bottom corner to give Spurs the lead.
Cissoko, who had been booked in the first half, got away without a second yellow in that incident, but another clumsy challenge and an aggressive reaction towards the referee a couple of minutes later earned her another booking and a red card.
Despite a spirited display, the Hammers looked to be heading for defeat until Longhurst popped up to score with a looping header in the second minute of added time to grab a point.
