Violent scenes ahead of Sunday's FAI Cup final are under "ongoing" investigation, An Garda Síochána has confirmed.
Gardaí attended an incident which took place on the Irishtown Road in Dublin 4 before the match between St Patrick's Athletic and Bohemians at the Aviva Stadium.
In a statement, they said: "An Garda Síochána is aware of an incident that occurred on the afternoon of Sunday, 28th November, 2021, on the Irishtown Road, Dublin 4.
"Order was quickly restored by Gardaí who attended the scene. Investigations into this matter are ongoing."
Chris Andrews TD condemned the violence on social media.
"As a public representative for Irishtown I have been contacted by residents who are appalled and angry with the scenes outside a fan zone," said Mr Andrews.
"What happened today is completely unacceptable. Both clubs must work with the Gardaí to identify and sanction their 'supporters'."
