Bayern Munich forward Kingsley Coman is expected to be absent from full training for up to two weeks after undergoing minor heart surgery.

The Frenchman, 25, had the procedure on Thursday after he was discovered to have an irregular heartbeat, his club confirmed.

Bayern coach Julian Nagelsmann said ahead of Saturday's Bundesliga match against VfL Bochum: "He’s doing very well and he has little wound pain.

"Once the wound is healed then he will be able to start with rehab training and it won’t be more than 10 days to two weeks before he’s back in full training."

The Paris-born player moved to Germany in the summer of 2015 and has won six domestic league titles with the Bavarian club.

He also scored the only goal in the 2020 Champions League final as Bayern beat his former club Paris St Germain 1-0 in Lisbon.
