The Republic of Ireland have been leapfrogged by Northern Ireland in the latest FIFA world rankings.
Stephen Kenny's side dropped to 50th, their lowest ranking since 2015, following two draws and a loss in this month’s World Cup qualifiers.
Ireland have not won a competitive fixture since beating Gibraltar in 2019, while the only win of Kenny’s 16-match reign was a 4-1 friendly defeat of Andorra in June.

Northern Ireland are up four places to 47th after thumping Lithuania and drawing with Switzerland, which keeps alive their World Cup qualification hopes. They also registered a 1-0 friendly win away to Estonia.
Scotland are up to 45th after responding to their defeat to Denmark with back-to-back 1-0 wins against Moldova and Austria.
England have moved into the top three for the first time in nine years, overtaking world champions France. Belgium remain top-ranked with Brazil still in second.
