Japan have withdrawn as hosts of December's Club World Cup, which features Chelsea as European champions, due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Football’s world governing body FIFA confirmed that it had been contacted by the country’s football association that it was no longer in a position to host.
FIFA said it would announce an alternative host in due course for the seven-team tournament.
