Republic of Ireland international Ruesha Littlejohn has joined Aston Villa after leaving rivals Birmingham City last month.
The Glasgow-born international signed for the Blues in January after short recent spells at West Ham and Leicester City.
The 31-year-old's departure came after 11 first team appearances for the midlands side.
Littlejohn has signed for Villa on a short-term deal ahead of this weekend's new Women’s Super League season.
She has also spent time in the top flight with Arsenal and Liverpool and will boost Carla Ward’s options in attacking areas.
Ward said: "When we heard Ruesha became available it was a no-brainer.
"She’s an experienced head who drives standards, and having worked with her last season I know the sort of quality she can bring on and off the field.
"She’s settled in well and has quickly become an important figure amongst the group."
