Republic of Ireland forward Ruesha Littlejohn has left Birmingham City, the club has confirmed.

The Glasgow-born international joined the club in January after short recent spells at West Ham and Leicester City.

But the 31-year-old's departure after 11 first team appearances was confirmed by the Blues in a short statement.

"Blues can confirm Ruesha Littlejohn has left the club," Birmingham said on their official Twitter account.

"We would like to thank Ruesha for her efforts, and wish her the very best for the future."

The former Glasgow City, Arsenal, Celtic and Liverpool player has won 60 caps for Ireland since making her international debut in 2012 but missed out on Vera Pauw's squad for June's friendly double-header against Iceland due to injury.

Ireland team-mate Louise Quinn joined Birmingham on a two-year contract from Italian side Fiorentina in July.
