Spartak Subotica 5-2 Peamount United
Spartak Subotica's Tijana Filipovic put Peamount United to the sword with a first-half hat-trick as the Women's National League champions bowed out of the Champions League with a 5-2 defeat in the Dutch city of Enschede.
Filipovic made Peamount pay for some sloppy defending with some clinical finishing as she bagged four goals for the Serbian side.
The first arrived after only nine minutes as the striker worked space on the edge of the area before firing a powerful shot into the net with Naoisha McAloon rooted to the spot.
A clever free-kick saw Spartak double their lead. Violeta Slovic dinked a free-kick over the wall and Filipovic had time and space to lob the ball over McAloon into the corner of the net.
There was more misery on 45 minutes as Zivana Stupar carved open the Peamount defence with a simple pass.
United appealed for offside but the flag stayed down and star woman Filipovic gave McAloon no chance with an emphatic finish into the roof of the net for a 3-0 interval lead.
The second half saw no let up as Alice Kusi charged down the left flank and once again the Peamount defence were out of sync as she picked out Filipovic to place the ball into the net through the legs of Dora Gorman.
Kusi got her name on the scoresheet on 62 minutes as she found the bottom corner after Peamount failed to deal with a cross into the box.
There was something to smile about for Peamount 10 minutes later as Eleanor Ryan-Doyle scored the goal of the day with a perfectly-struck free-kick from 25 yards out.
Ryan-Doyle bagged a second in stoppage-time as she coolly rounded Milica Kostic in the home's side's goal to make it 5-2.
But the damage was done and while they still have one more game to play in this year's Champions League competition - a third-place play-off - the 2021 European adventure will not be one to treasure for Peamount.
