Dundalk have announced the signings of Moroccan forward Sami Ben Amar and Scottish goalkeeper Cameron Yates.
Ben Amar, 23, who has represented his country at U20 and U23 level, has been training with the club in recent weeks and will wear the No 17 shirt at Oriel Park. He started his career at Nice, before moves to Bastia and then Nimes Olympique.
In his first season at Nimes he made three substitute appearances in Ligue 2 as the club secured promotion back to the top flight for the first time in 15 years.
His first taste of Ligue 1 action came in September 2019 when he came off the bench in Nimes' scoreless draw away to Dijon and he was handed his first start for the club in their Coupe de la Ligue win over Lens the following month.
Most of Ben Amar’s football has been played with Nimes’ second team where he scored 18 goals in 48 starts across four seasons in the Championnat National 2 and 3 sections.

Twenty-two-year-old Yates, who came through Leicester City’s academy as a youngster, arrives following his departure from Wycombe Wanderers in June.
Yates spent three years with Wycombe, making three EFL Trophy appearances for The Chairboys. He was a regular on the bench during most of the club's 2020/21 season in the Championship where he got to know former Lilywhites hero, Daryl Horgan.
"Daryl is a good mate of mine," said Yates. "He sang the praises of the club and the people and the staff that are here so that was another positive for me coming over here."
Yates spent a decade at Leicester City’s academy, where he was a regular in the club’s U18 side.
The Edinburgh native has been training with the Lilywhites in recent weeks and Dundalk head coach Vinny Perth says he will provide competition for Alessio Abibi and his fellow countryman Peter Cherrie.
