Tottenham boss Nuno Espirito Santo will decide whether to pick Harry Kane against Manchester City after Saturday's training session.
The England captain, who wants to join City this summer, trained with the squad for the first time on Friday following a five-day quarantine period after returning late from his holiday.
Ahead of Sunday's Premier League opener for Spurs, Nuno said: "He joined the group today, he trained, we had a talk.
"Of course it is a private conversation, but everything is OK. He is preparing himself.
"We still have the session of tomorrow to decide. We have to think and we have tomorrow to make the decision."
On whether Kane would be in the right frame of mind to play, Nuno added: "I don't have any concerns about trying to convince players to play for Tottenham.

"It's such a huge club, it's such a fantastic club. We should be proud of being here."
Sunday's match will mark Nuno's first Premier League fixture in charge of Tottenham after departing Wolves at the end of last season.
The new Tottenham manager will have Republic of Ireland full-back Matt Doherty, who he coached at Wolves, at his disposal.
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola was unwilling to discuss his club's interest in Kane, having admitted last week that City would like to sign him.
Guardiola said: "I answered this question the previous press conference. He's a player from Tottenham, I'm not going to talk about him. I made an exception last time, usually I don't talk about transfers."
City playmaker Kevin De Bruyne will miss the start of the Premier League campaign as he recovers from an ankle injury suffered on international duty for Belgium at Euro 2020.
"He's getting better, every day but we're still waiting. He cannot do the full training session. We'll see what happens in the next days," Guardiola said.
