Republic of Ireland underage international Kevin Zefi will complete his switch from Shamrock Rovers to Inter Milan on Tuesday.

The former St Kevin's Boys wide man became the youngest goalscorer in League of Ireland history when he netted for Shamrock Rovers II against Longford Town in their First Division clash in September 2020.

PSV Eindhoven and Juventus were among the other clubs interested in the 16-year-old but it's Serie A giants Inter who have won the race to sign him.

Zefi trained with the club for a month in February and has begun to learn Italian as he prepares for a life-changing move.

"I hear loads of stories of really talented footballers who couldn't keep their feet on the ground and they didn’t get very far in football," he told The Sunday Times.

"My future is at Inter Milan. I have worked hard for that and I will continue to work hard and stay motivated."
