Joshua Ireland, son of former Republic of Ireland international Stephen, is among a 35-strong UK-based Under-19 squad Tom Mohan is casting his eye over this week ahead of qualifying matches, while Jon Walters has joined the coaching staff.
The camp is taking place in Loughborough, England as Mohan assesses his options for the 2022 UEFA Under-19 European Championships qualifiers this autumn.
The camp began on Monday and will end on Wednesday as it serves as a chance for the Irish boss to look at talent overseas.
Joshua Ireland is a 16-year-old academy midfielder at Stoke City.
Former Ireland international Walters has joined Mohan's backroom team for the three-day assessment as he makes his first steps into international coaching.
As part of the camp, a selection of Ireland's underage goalkeepers have met up for specialised training. Ireland Under-21 goalkeeping coach Rene Gilmartin will oversee that training.
