Irish referee Michelle O'Neill has been confirmed as one of 50 assistant referees appointed for the upcoming Olympic football tournaments in Japan.

The experienced Wexford official, who has worked at two Women’s World Cups previously, is one of 99 match officials from 51 countries chosen by FIFA.
