Republic of ireland midfielder Luca Connell has made a loan move from Celtic to Scottish League Two outfit Queen's Park for the rest of the season.
Connell moved to the Bhoys in July 2019 having caught the eye with Bolton Wanderers. A month before that switch, Mick McCarthy called the Liverpool-born 19-year-old into his Ireland squad for a week-long training camp in Portugal.
He has yet to make his senor international debut, though he has played for Ireland at Ireland at Under-17, Under-18 and Under-19 level.
Queen's Park are top of League Two, the fourth tier of football in Scotland. Goalkeeper Ryan Mullen has also gone on loan to the club from Celtic.
"I am absolutely delighted to get both deals over the line and get the players in for what is going to be a very busy period ahead," said Queen's Park head coach Ray McKinnon.
"We have needed cover in the goalkeeping position and have been actively looking for some time so it's very pleasing to have the opportunity to bring Ryan in.
"Luca is a very talented player who is left sided which will give us good balance in the squad and added competition for places.
"The acquisition of both players really does strengthen the squad for the run in."
