Republic of Ireland defender Diane Caldwell is set to link up with her international team-mate Denise O'Sullivan at club level after completing a move to top-flight American side North Carolina Courage.
The Dubliner arrives from Bundesliga outfit SC Sand, where she's shone for the last four and half years, making 107 appearances.
O'Sullivan is back at NC Courage following a short loan spell at Women's Super League side Brighton and Hove Albion that enabled the Cork midfielder to feature in her country's Euro 2022 qualifiers.
Pre-season begins on 1 February, with the NWSL Challenge Cup starting in April and the regular season kicking off in mid-May.
"Diane has the experience, intelligence, and positional ability to be a great professional in the NWSL," said NC Courage head coach Paul Riley.
"She is a no-nonsense defender with excellent passing range and is a major threat on set pieces. She has the character and determination to be an immediate leader on our team.
"She is a super passionate professional who will embrace the Courage culture wholeheartedly."
