David Alaba is set to leave Champions League holders Bayern Munich for Real Madrid, once he completes his medical at the Spanish giants.

The 28-year-old Austrian international is out of contract in the summer and has been linked with a number of clubs.

It is believed the versatile defender defender turned down approaches from Liverpool and PSG to move to the Bernabeu, and is expected to sign a four-year deal in the coming weeks.

A pre-contract agreement will be signed once the player passes his medical and it is reported that Alaba will pen a deal worth around €230,000 a week after tax.

Since making his Bayern debut in 2010, Alaba has won nine league titles and two Champions League titles in a decorated career with the Bavaria giants.
