Republic of Ireland international James McClean is back in the Stoke squad after accepting a punishment handed down to him by the club.

The Derry native was suspended last week after posting a video on Instagram which showed him boxing at a gym, in breach of England's coronavirus restrictions.

It led him to miss their 1-1 draw with Blackburn Rovers on Saturday, with team-mate Nick Powell celebrating his goal by showing off his own boxing moves in a nod to McClean.

He was also fined a week's wages, according to the Stoke Sentinel.

"James is available," said manager Michael O'Neill.

"He obviously missed Saturday's game. He realised that what he did was not within the club's guidelines for how players should behave.

"We've dealt with that, he's accepted his punishment and we move on from that."
