Ireland forward Ronan Curtis is "okay and feeling fine" following a positive Covid-19 test.

The former Derry City attacker missed Portsmouth's FA Cup clash against Bristol City at the weekend as he was feeling unwell.

And Pompey manager Kenny Jackett confirmed that Curtis subsequently tested positive for the coronavirus and is currently self-isolating as part of his recovery.

Jackett also ruled Curtis out of this weekend's clash with Fleetwood Town as he cannot be assessed until Sunday at the earliest.

"He’s okay and feeling fine, there are no problems at all," said Jackett. "He certainly won’t be back for the weekend, with his isolation period taking him through to Sunday.

"We pulled him out before travelling to Bristol City because he was feeling rough and testing now becomes a regular occurrence, while we stress to our players that they need to remain diligent."
