All adult amateur teams will be able to return to training under Level 3 of the Government's Covid-19 restrictions.

The FAI has also confirmed that non-contact training in an outdoor setting is now permitted in pods of 15 for adult amateur and underage teams.

A minimum of two coaches are required to be present for all underage teams, with a minimum of one for adult teams. Players and coaches are also allowed to travel to train with teams they are registered with.

"The FAI is currently awaiting clarification regarding how the restrictions will impact underage Elite National League football and will update affiliates at the earliest opportunity," the FAI added.

It follows consultation between the Government and FAI on Tuesday, following the move to Level 3 of the restrictions.
