Dundalk first team coach Filippo Giovagnoli will be banned from the touchline for tomorrow's Europa League group game with Rapid Wien at the Aviva Stadium.

Giovagnoli was not present at the club's pre-match press conference for the game, with coach Shane Keegan standing in for him.

The Italian coach, who does not hold a UEFA Pro Licence, has been banned from "any function of a head coach" by UEFA.

Giovagnoli was on the sidelines for Dundalk's Europa League games away to Arsenal and Rapid Wien, however he was booked in Vienna and that incident appears to have prompted UEFA to make this decision.
