Stephen Kenny named an attack-minded starting XI for today's UEFA Nations League encounter with Wales at the Cardiff City Stadium.
The manager is still looking for his first win since taking over the national side as his team go into his seventh game in charge since his first game in Bulgaria.
Adam Idah has been named to lead the line with James McClean and Daryl Horgan also picked to start in that attacking trio.
McClean made his name at this venue back in 2017 by scoring the only goal of the game in Ireland's World Cup qualifying victory, however, he was sent off in the same fixture last month.
The Stoke City man looks set to start on the left of the three with Horgan, who impressed against England, will hug the right flank.
Jayson Molumby impressed when he came on against England on Thursday night at Wembley and has been rewarded with a place in the starting XI. Jeff Hendrick and Robbie Brady make up the midfield unit.
Brady, who impressed in the first game against Wales last month looks set to take up the number 10 role, tasked with linking midfield and attack.
Depleted by injuries and players ruled out for other non-footballing reasons, the manager named a makeshift back four with captain Shane Duffy joined in the heart of the defence by Kevin Long.
Matt Doherty looks set to line out at left back once again, while Dara O'Shea will play at right back, with Darren Randolph in goal.
Gareth Bale has been named in the Wales side and the Spurs man will captain the side, while David Brooks and Daniel James will also line up in attack.
Kieffer Moore has been left out of the XI, while Danny Ward replaces long-term goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey in between the posts. Rhys Norrington-Davies also starts for Wales.
Wales: Danny Ward; Ben Davies, Joe Rodon, Chris Mepham, Neco Williams; Ethan Ampadu, Joe Morrell, Rhys Norrington-Davies; Daniel James, David Brooks, Gareth Bale (capt).
Ireland: Darren Randolph; Matt Doherty, Kevin Long, Shane Duffy (capt), Dara O'Shea; Jayson Molumby, Jeff Hendrick, Robbie Brady; Daryl Horgan, James McClean, Adam Idah.
