Mario Gotze has joined PSV Eindhoven on a two-year deal from Borussia Dortmund.
The 28-year-old moves to the Philips Stadion on a free transfer after his contract with the Bundesliga club came to an end.
"We had some nice talks and I seriously considered making a move to the Netherlands," Gotze told the club's website after a number of conversations with head coach Roger Schmidt.
"I had a lot of offers this summer but I am a man of feeling and making my own decisions.
"I feel I am ready for a very different challenge and I am confident that this should be a very comfortable transition for me."
The 63-time capped German international and World Cup winner had limited opportunities at Dortmund last season, making just 21 appearances.
