Manchester City have confirmed that midfielder Ilkay Gundogan has tested positive for the coronavirus.
The Manchester club are set to start their Premier League campaign this evening with a testing trip to take on Wolves at Molineux.
The club stated that the Germany international is self-isolating for ten days as a result of the positive test.
Riyad Mahrez and Aymeric Laporte both tested positive for Covid-19 earlier this month, and Laporte remains unavailable going into tonight's game.
Sergio Aguero is also ruled out for City as he recovers from injury.
"Ilkay is now observing a 10-day period of self-isolation in accordance with Premier League and UK Government protocol on quarantine," said a City statement.
"Everyone at the club wishes Ilkay a speedy recovery."
