Dundalk's path to the group stages of the Europa League group stages has been mapped out, however, the League of Ireland champions will have to win two tough games to make it through.

First up for Filippo Giovagnoli's side is an away trip to Moldova to take on FC Sheriff Tiraspol, and if the Lilywhites come through that match, they will take on the winners of the match between Ki Klaksvik from the Faroes Islands and renowned Georgian outfit Dinamo Tbilisi.

The draw took place in Nyon this afternoon and the Oriel Park side avoided the top seed in their assigned group, Qarabag.

Dundalk's clash with former Champions League group stage participants, Sheriff, takes place at the Sheriff Stadium in Tiraspol on Thursday, 24 September.

Elsewhere, Shamrock Rovers' conquerors AC Milan will face Turkey's Beşiktaş or Rio Ave of Portugal in the play-off round if they advance past Bodø/Glimt of Norway next Thursday.

Tottenham will play host to Rostov or Maccabi Haifa in the play-off if they can get past Shkendija in their third round qualifier.

Celtic will have a trip to either FK Sarajevo or Buducnost Podgorica if they can get over Riga while Rangers must beat Willem II to play Galatasaray or Hajduk Split.

Motherwell or Hapoel Beer-Sheva will host Viktoria Plzen or SonderjyskE while Aberdeen will also be at home against LASK or Dunajska Streda if they can advance past Sporting in next week's qualifier.
