Irish league champions Peamount United will have to wait until November to kick off their Women's Champions League due to the ongoing Covid-19 situation across Europe.

UEFA has replaced the preliminary round mini-tournaments, which were due to commence next month, by two single-leg knockout rounds with 40 teams to be played on 3-4 November.

Peamount will discover their opponents for the first qualifying round when the draw is made on 22 October in Nyon.

The round of 32 has been postponed to 8-9 and 15-16 December, but UEFA plans to play the rest of the competition as scheduled next year with the final in Gothenburg in May.
