Galway United are on the hunt for a new manager after the club confirmed that they have parted ways with Alan Murphy.
The club are second from bottom of the SSE Airtricity League First Division, without a league win this season, having drawn four and lost three of their opening seven games of the truncated 2020 campaign.
The club's all-time leading scorer, Murphy had been appointed as manager in July 2018, having previously been in charge of United's under-17 team.
"Galway United FC can confirm that they have decided that Alan Murphy will leave his role as First Team Manager at the club," the club said in a statement.
"We would like to thank Alan for all of his hard work and wish him all the best in the future.
"We will not be commenting further on the matter and will begin the search for a successor immediately."
Galway United return to on-field action when they face Bray Wanderers on Friday in a 7.45pm kick off.
