Real Sociedad have signed former Manchester City midfielder David Silva as a free agent, the La Liga side said in a statement on Monday.
The former Spain international, 34, has left City after a decade of service in which he won 11 major trophies including four Premier League titles.
The Manchester outfit had announced earlier on Monday that they would be honouring the Spaniard by building a statue of him outside their Etihad Stadium.
Sociedad, who finished sixth in La Liga, are one of the most attractive sides in the Spanish top-flight and were searching for a new playmaker after Martin Odegaard ended a one-year loan spell to return to Real Madrid.
Former Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel has become Stoke's fourth summer signing.
Mikel, 33, won an array of honours during an 11-year stay at Stamford Bridge and returns to English football after a spell in the Turkish Super Lig with Trabzonspor.
"We’re delighted to bring John to the club," Stoke manager Michael O’Neill told the official Potters website.
"His playing career speaks for itself and underlines his calibre as a player.
"We spent four hours talking and he made it clear he wants to get back into the Premier League and finish his career there, and hopefully he can do that with Stoke City."
Mikel made more than 370 appearances for Chelsea after joining them from Norwegian club Lyn in 2006.
The 91-times capped Nigeria midfielder, who retired from international football following last year’s African Cup of Nations, won two Premier League winner’s medals in west London.

Mikel also won three FA Cups, the League Cup, Champions League and Europa League at Chelsea.
After a spell in China, he joined Middlesbrough in January 2019 and made 19 appearances before moving to Turkey.
Mikel joins Morgan Fox, James Chester and Steven Fletcher at Stoke ahead of the 2020/21 Sky Bet Championship season.
🗣️ "If I can bring that experience and winning mentality here, then I will be happy."

Wycombe have made striker Uche Ikpeazu their first signing since gaining promotion to the Championship.
Ikpeazu joins from Hearts, having previously enjoyed a successful spell in the EFL with Cambridge before moving to Scotland.
The 25-year-old has been on the radar of Chairboys boss Gareth Ainsworth for some time and the manager is delighted to get his man.
"Uche is a player I've always admired, going right back to the start of his career with Reading and Watford’s Under-23 sides, and I’m delighted that the time has come for us to bring him to Wycombe Wanderers," Ainsworth told the club website.
"We feel he’s perfectly suited for the way we play and being part of this squad will get the best out of him. He’s quick, strong, holds the ball up well and will score goals for us too.
"We are working so hard to get this squad as strong as it can be for the new season. We’ve been knocked back on some of our targets but Uche is one I really wanted to bring here and it’s great to get the deal over the line, with hopefully more to come soon."

QPR have completed the permanent signing of midfielder Luke Amos from Tottenham for an undisclosed fee.
The Spurs academy graduate spent the 2019-20 season on loan at Loftus Road and has put pen to paper on a three-year deal with the Championship side.
Amos, who only made one appearance for Tottenham, played 35 times for the R's last term and scored twice.
He told the official club website: "I think last year was about getting used to the level. Now that my injury is behind me and a year of Championship football is, too, I think I can kick on and show everyone what I can do.
"I don’t think I showed half of what I am capable of last year. Hopefully I can impress everyone this season – I’m excited to get going."
QPR boss Mark Warburton added: "Luke got over a nasty knee injury to play 35 games for us last season and we saw him getting stronger and more confident as the campaign progressed.
"I believe he can thrive and really kick on from here."
