Cork City v Bohemians, Turner's Cross, 5pm, Watch

Neale Fenn's Cork City will start the day bottom on three points against a Bohemians side, who sit third and have designs on closing the  gap to the top two.

Team news

Cork City: Fenn made two additions to his squad on Friday, announcing the signings of strikers Kit Elliott and Scott Fenwick.

But neither play will be available against Bohs or the following fixture against Waterford due to quarantine measures, while Darragh Crowley has gone on loan to Cobh Ramblers.

Gearoid Morrissey, who missed some of pre-season with injury, will not be back in time for the first game back, while the manager has also confirmed Charlie Fleming is also out.

Meanwhile Conor Davis is a long-term absentee after a hip operation. Otherwise a clean bill of health.

Bohemians: Cristian Magerusan (knee), Glen McAuley (concussion) and Paddy Kirk (ankle) all miss the trip to Turner's Cross.

Gaffer Talk

Neale Fenn: "There's always a little bit of trepidation when you're going into a new season. You're hoping that your signings do well and you're hoping that the boys are fit enough and you hope that you don't pick up any injuries but you can't be too worried about things like that. You have to be confident going into the season."

Keith Long: "This is about getting off to a positive start but it won't be easy. We've never had it easy down in Turner's Cross. There are only 12 games remaining after this one so we know we are going to have to be up to speed from the very start."
