The draw for the first round of this year's FAI Cup has taken place, with Dundalk set to take on Waterford in one of three ties.

The Premier Division sides will meet at Oriel Park as newly-appointed Lilywhites assistant Alan Reynolds welcomes his former club.

John Sheridan was appointed Blues manager last week, replacing Reynolds.

There is another Premier Division tie as Finn Harps have been paired with St Patrick's Athletic.

Cork City boss Neale Fenn will go up against his former side Longford Town at Turner's Cross.

Due to the shortened nature of the season, no non-league teams are participating this year

The 13 other League of Ireland clubs were drawn out to receive a bye and will join the winners of today's draw. FAI Cup draw:

  • Cork City v Longford Town
