Many League of Ireland clubs are facing significant financial losses in order to finish off this year's season.
Premier Division sides were given financial packages in the region of €190,000 by the FAI to help survive the rest of the campaign as their finances have been hit by the impact of Covid-19.
However, it still leaves many teams with a significant shortfall.
This week saw Sligo Rovers supporters set up a GoFundMe to help their club and it has generated €63,000 in just over three days.
Mike McCartney visited The Showgrounds to find out why there was such a response and meet the people behind the scenes at the club.
