With the Irish public being urged to maintain social distancing and self-isolate if required, we are increasingly looking for movies to watch, books to read and rooms to clean.

RTÉ Sport is speaking to our sports stars and asking how they're using their time and tweaking their training routines to stay fit and healthy.

What's the first thing you do in the morning?

First thing I do in the morning is brush my teeth followed by taking the dog outside and sitting down to have breakfast.

What's your favourite exercise?

Since football is out of the equation at the moment I don't really have a fav exercise. Don’t like running by myself because I find it boring but right now it’s the only way to get out of the house so bringing the dog along for a bit of company helps.

Practicing my Call of duty skills a lot lately.

Netflix and chill or a nice evening jog?

I’ve been getting my jog in early in the morning so I’m definitely Netflix & chill in the evening.

Name one book you want to read.

I’ve just finished Behind the Mask, Tyson Fury's biography so I’m looking for a new one at the moment.

On a scale on 1 to 10, how good are your DIY skills?

If I could give myself a 0 I would probably do that , I’m terrible at DIY, I usually invite the parents over but when they get here they always realise that there’s something needs doing around the house.

Have you a favourite pre-training meal to help you through a tough session?

I wouldn’t really have a favourite meal to get me through a session, I like to eat pretty light before a session so maybe just avocado on some toast with eggs.

Name one movie you want to watch?

I’m currently watching White Collar on Netflix and I have a lot of episodes to get through so I can’t start anything new until I finish.

I'm a pretty chilled person so I don’t mind binge watching on Netflix or playing video games to keep me occupied.

Have you any tips for training at home?

Only tip for training at home is what ever you’re doing do it first thing in the morning. Longer the day does on and you haven’t worked out the less likely you will want to workout. Plenty of online home workouts to choose from.
