Enda Stevens will remain at Sheffield United until 2023, as the Ireland defender has signed a new deal to keep him at Bramall Lane for the next three years.
The former Shamrock Rovers man left the Hoops for Aston Villa in 2012 and spent two years at Portsmouth before joining the Blades in 2017.
Stevens helped the Sheffield side gain promotion to the Premier League and has played an integral role in Chris Wilder's side as they have established themselves as a top-tier side this season.
"I'm obviously delighted," said Stevens.
"It's something I've wanted do get done for a while now, so I'm just pleased it's finally over the line.
"As a group we've built on the success of last season, but we don't want to stand still. We want to continue to do well and finish as high in the table as possible.
"The manager is building something special here. He's keeping the core group together and now adding to it to make us even stronger and everyone is happy to be involved in the journey."

Stevens plays as in a left wing-back role for the Blades and has become a permanent fixture in the Ireland defence over the course of the Euro 2020 qualifying campaign.
"Enda has become one of the top players in the division, in his position, in our opinion, and he deserves rewarding with a new contract," said Wilder.
"His performances have been outstanding for both club and country and he is an important and integral part of our team in and out of possession."
