Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho confirmed that Eric Dier will play in their Premier League clash with Burnley on Saturday.
Dier went into the crowd to confront a supporter who was arguing with his brother after Spurs' FA Cup exit at home to Norwich on Wednesday.
When asked if Dier would play this weekend, Mourinho said: "Of course, the only thing that matters is nothing really big happened and secondly he played so, so well. Of course he is going to play.
"The only thing I can say is that if I see something happen to my son I would do the same. I would think two seconds about doing the same."
Dier's altercation with a supporter following the defeat to Norwich is being investigated by the Football Association and it is understood Spurs will conduct a thorough review of the incident.
Tottenham will assess the fitness of goalkeeper Hugo Lloris ahead of the trip to Turf Moor, although Mourinho is hopeful the Frenchman will play.
