Aiden McGeady has made a deadline-day move to Charlton Athletic, leaving Sunderland on the last day of the transfare window.
The 33-year-old Ireland midfielder has left Sunderland on a loan deal that sees him link up with the London side until the end of the season.
"Bringing in someone with his quality is going to add to the squad," said Charlton manager Lee Bowyer about the former Celtic and Everton midfielder who is moving up a division from League 1 to the Championship.
"Last season we played against them obviously on three occasions and he's an exceptional player. He brings goals, he brings assists, he’s someone that can make something out of nothing.

"He’s got experience, he’s played in Europe and for his country. We’re bringing in a very good, experienced player. Coming into the back end of the season experience can be important, Darren Pratley showed that in the play-off games last season."
McGeady will join up with fellow Ireland midfielder Josh Cullen at his new club and will be in line to make his Latics debut at The Valley on Saturday as Charlton take on Barnsley in the Championship.
