Andy Reid is back at Nottingham Forest after taking up a coaching role with the club's Under-23s.

The Dubliner had two separate five-year spells with Forest as a player. He'll link up with his former team-mate Chris Cohen at the City Ground and will continue in his other role as Republic of Ireland Under-18s head coach.

"I'm absolutely delighted to be back at Forest working with Chris and everyone else there and also to be able to continue my work with Ireland - to help the young players from my country and the club I love is a fantastic honour!" Reid tweeted.

Last March he took over the reins at the Ireland Under-18s having worked under Jim Crawford for a year with the underage side.

Reid was capped 29 times for his country and was part of Brien Kerr's Under-16s team that won the European Championships in 1998.
