Zlatan Ibrahimovich has signed a short-term contract to return to AC Milan until the end of the season.

The Swede previously won a Seria A title with I Rossoneri in 2011, during a loan spell, before signing for them permanently shortly afterwards. In that time, he scored 56 goals in 85 matches.

His time in Italy lasted two seasons, before he moved onto Paris St Germain. Most recently, he played Major League Soccer with LA Galaxy.

"I'm coming back to a Club I hugely respect and to the city of Milan I love," Ibrahimovich said in a statement released by the club.

"I'll fight together with my teammates to change the course of this season. I will do everything to make it happen."
