Republic of Ireland Under-19s were beaten 2-0 by Denmark in a wet Showgrounds this afternoon as Harvey Neville made his debut.

It was a second defeat in three days for the Irish after a 1-0 loss on Friday night in the same venue.

Neville started the game as one of 10 players based in England, with Ross Tierney of Bohemians making up the XI.

Andrew Omobamidele was the only player to begin the two matches, with a host of substitutions throughout the match, similarly to the encounter last Friday.
