Corkman Roy O'Donovan struck a 95th-minute equaliser to rescue a point against Perth Glory in Robbie Fowler's first A-League game in charge of Brisbane Roar.

The former Liverpool striker took the reins back in April and made O'Donovan his first signing.

The much travelled Irishman moved from A-League rivals Newcastle Jets as one of the most prolific goalscorers in the division, and he's already gone some way to proving Fowler's faith in him is wholly justified.

It looked like the Roar were heading for defeat at Perth thanks to Chris Ikonomidis's 34th-minute effort but after another Irishman, Jay O'Shea, clipped a ball towards Aaron Holloway in the fifth minute of injury-time, O'Donovan was there to nod home the knockdown.

The goal went to VAR but O'Donovan was ruled to be inches onside, sparking wild celebrations from Fowler's bench.
