History beckons for Vera Pauw's Republic of Ireland side as all 8,000 tickets for their Women’s Euro 2021 qualifier against Ukraine in Tallaght on Tuesday have now been sold or claimed by FAI season ticket holders.

Demand has outstripped supply for a game that is set to break the attendance record for the Ireland team after a joint promotion by the FAI and the 20x20 campaign.

A waiting list is now in operation, and all those who may have tickets and cannot attend are urged to email the FAI ticket office to facilitate their redistribution or this crucial fixture.

Ahead of the clash against Ukraine, Pauw told the FAI’s official website: "The support is always hugely important to us all, but that is especially the case for this game on Tuesday as it is the most crucial fixture of the campaign for us.

"We all know the level that Germany are at and they are expected to top the group, so Ukraine are our biggest rivals. And as we are at home, we need a positive result from this game."

Ireland go into the game looking to claim two wins from two, having defeated Montenegro 2-1 in their opening qualifier at Tallaght Stadium in early September.

The match will be live on RTÉ2 from 7pm, ahead of a 7.30pm kick-off.
