Former Republic of Ireland international Daryl Murphy is set to join Bolton Wanderers until the end of the season. 

The 36-year-old makes the move from Nottingham Forest where he has so far failed to make any appearances this season after the arrival of new manager Sabri Lamouchi.

Murphy scored six times for the East Midlands club last season, with his contract at the City Ground due to expire next summer.

Bolton side that are currently bottom of League One and last week were saved from extinction after an 11th-hour takeover deal was completed.
