Liverpool lead the nominations in the FIFA Best awards, with manager Jurgen Klopp, goalkeeper Alisson Becker and defender Virgil Van Dijk all up for awards.

Jurgen Klopp, who led the Reds to Champions League glory, was shortlisted in the men's coach category along with Tottenham's Mauricio Pochettino, whose side were beaten in the Madrid final.

There was a clean sweep for the Premier League in this category, with Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola the third man on the list after completing a domestic treble.

Van Dijk was been shortlisted for the men's player award. He is up against Barcelona's Lionel Messi and Juventus' Cristiano Ronaldo, both of whom he beat to win UEFA's Player of the Year award last week.

Manchester City's Ederson and Liverpool's Alisson, who went head-to-head in last season's Premier League title race, are vying to be named the world's best goalkeeper.

Barcelona's Marc-Andre Ter Stegen is the third name on the list.

Meanwhile USA World Cup winners Megan Rapinoe and Alex Morgan are shortlisted for the women's player award, as is England's Lucy Bronze.

USA coach Jill Ellis will be the heavy favourite for the best women's coach award. She's up against England's Phil Neville and Sarina Wiegman of the Netherlands.
