Finn Harps' 50th anniversary celebrations have been dealt a blow as their home match against St Patrick's Athletic has been postponed due to inclement weather.

The SSE Premier Division fixture was called off on Friday afternoon due to a waterlogged pitch at the Ballybofey venue.

A statement from the Donegal club read: "[The match] will now take place next Friday. All tickets purchased for tonight will be valid for that night.

"Other events planned for tonight's match to mark the 50th anniversary of the club, namely the attendance of former players and managers and the attendance of academy teams and club teams will also take place at next Friday's match."

In the First Division, Galway United's meeting with Limerick has also been called off due to a waterlogged pitch. A new date for the game has yet to be announced.
