Peamount United star Eleanor Ryan Doyle was today named the Só Hotels Women's National League Player of the Month for June.
Ryan Doyle scored a stunning volley for the Peas in June's 1-0 win over reigning champions Wexford Youths, that has helped cement Peamount's place at the top of the Só Hotels Women's National League.
It has been a memorable summer for the player, having starred in Ireland's fourth-place finish at the World University Games.
Ryan Doyle was also part of the Ireland squad that travelled to America earlier this month, and she was named in Tom O'Connor's squad last week for next month's UEFA Women's EURO 2021 qualifier against Montenegro.
Ryan Doyle is the first Peamount United player to win the award this season.
She was previously nominated for April's Player of the Month award.
The strike said: "As a club we deserve the recognition for the season we have had. It's great that I can show who well the team are doing this year."
Ryan Doyle is part of the upcoming Ireland squad, alongside four other players from the Só Hotels Women's National League.
She says it's great recognition for those playing domestically.
"The League is up-and-coming. It's brilliant that players of such good quality are being called into the senior squad."
