UCD goalkeeper Conor Kearns has been handed an additional five-game suspension, and Derek Pender an extra three, for their part in the ugly scenes which marred the Students' defeat of Bohs last month.

Kearns and Pender clashed when the former appeared to celebrate his side's 1-0 in front of the Gypsies fans.

That irked the visiting captain, who confronted Kearns, sparking a melee involving players and coaching staff from both sides.

Both players were given red cards and automatic one-match bans, which have been served, but they now face an extended spell on the sidelines.

UCD won the game thanks to Yoyo Mahdy's strike but were later awarded a 3-0 victory after it was found that Danny Mandriou had played for Bohs despite the fact he was due to serve a suspension in the fixture.
